So.. I have officially been called out in person AND on someone else's blog so I guess its about time to put something up here. To be honest I don't even know where to start because it has been so long. last time I was on spring break in Charleston, coming home to Banner Elk and snow. Now it's officially summer, school is over for the year. I've driven to Colorado and back.. then jumped in the car the very next weekend only to drive to Delaware, all the way on the other side of the country. All in all I've been racking up some good car miles.. and the trend will continue this weekend with driving to Baltimore and NJ for Tour of Somerville. Luckily I will be staying in NJ for awhile which will make driving easier/shorter. The races coming up are BikeJam, Somerville, Philly week, then a short break, Tour of PA, and Fitchburg. Should be a great block of racing.. not quite sure how I feel about Philly.. should be an awesome opportunity, but a definite challenge as well. I have sooo many pictures to put up its ridiculous.. and almost paralyzing because I don't even know where to begin.. look for some in the next post.

The past few weeks..
Like I seem to have said 1000 times on this blog.. "Its been awhile." I really have tried to keep this updated, but I seem to have either gotten lazy or busy.. you can decide. Basically the past couple weeks have started out like this:
Snow.. in March.. so not cool. All in all it turned out pretty well though. The weekend following the above picture I was able to escape to the warmer climates of Athens Georgia for the UGA collegiate races which went pretty well.. I was 2nd in the road race, and then 11th in the crit. Made some mistakes, both personally and as a team, but all in all a good race, we learned some stuff and still managed to place a guy in the top 5 both days. The week of Spring break followed the UGA races which meant that it was time to head to warmer climates for a few days of rest and recovery, so Katie and I packed up the car and headed down to Charleston SC.
Looks warm doesn't it?
Then we went and saw Fort Moultrie.. just as cool as Fort Sumter and a whole lot cheaper..

The South has some really cool trees sometimes

Again... super slacking on the updates
Hey Everyone.. I am pretty sure that I have probably lost the majority of my readers by now due to the complete and total lack of updates. But I am going to try to update more often now.. although I don't know if I will have too much more to write about than I have in the past. Cross nationals went well, LMC won the team omnium and had a number of high finishes individually as well, with Kacey winning the womens race, and Aaron riding super well to a 3rd in the mens race. The promoters did however screw us (and the other collegiate teams) out of our team omnium podium appearances, and the press that goes along with those pictures and awards. It was a a bit of a disappointment and a blow to all of collegiate cycling, but O well.. its not the end of the world.
In other news it looks like I will be staying in the south this summer and riding for a team out of Raleigh, NC. I am pretty excited, we have a good group of guys, and should get to do some really good racing. The website is: DLP Racing
Other than that not too much is going on, I went home to NJ afer cross nationals and hung out there for about 10 days. It was good to be home and see some friends, and my parents. Now Kt and I are at her parents house in NC enjoying a second christmas, and a few days of a bit warmer weather before we head back up to Banner Elk to enjoy a week or two of relaxing before school starts again.
I will try to keep up with the updates this time.. so check back soon

Its been too long.. I know that I have completely neglected my blog as of late. Sorry. I would like to say that nothing cool has happened, as use that as an excuse for not updating, but i have a feeling that the real reason is rather that stuff has been happening, and I just havent cared, or had time to update this thing. Anyway.. ill just post some pictures cause i dont really feel like writing too much. Short story.. went to track nats in San Diego, wish we could have done better overall, but whatever, not bad considering everything. Killed some bees living in our window, the bees built a pretty crazy nest in there. Other than that im just getting used to being back in school and having to actually do stuff other than sit around and ride. Anyway.. pictures...

Ok so the post that I promised last night is coming now.. sooner than even I thought it would be. I dont really know what to say about anything. I took about 2 weeks completely off the bike, and went to NJ with Katie, to visit the family. It was pretty nice actually. I havent spent that much time at home in the past couple years, and even when i was home i would be riding, or racing, and just generally busy. Not this time though. I had some time to hang out, work at High Gear a little bit, and catch up with some old friends. It was even nicer because when i did start riding again i was enjoying it and riding on roads i hadn't been on in years. From there we went to LBI and hung out on the jersey shore for a few days, caught some crabs with Mike and Mindy,
then headed to Banner Elk for a day. Now we are chilling in Albuquerque with Katie's brother and his family. All in all its been a relaxing, and nice distraction from the constant grind of racing and training... but i am really looking forward to getting back to it. I have been training for a couple weeks now, and looking forward to doing some late season southeast racing with Went, and the rest of the LMC crew.
